BEWARE OF THESE PAN CARD ISSUE/CORRECTION SCAM/FAKE/FRAUD WEBSITES!!

The fraudsters are finding new ways each day to fool people and get money.

I wanted to apply for correction to my Pan Card and to get it re-issued. I knew it could be done online. When I looked for it, I came across multiple websites, claiming to be authentic Government websites for issue/correction in Pan card, charging upto INR 1k for it. When the actual Government charges are nominal of INR 100. 

This is when I decided to write about this scam and uncover the fake website to make people aware about it. 

Please share it with as many people as you can in order to spread awareness about it. 

These are the Fake Websites claiming to be an authentic one:

1. OnlinePanCard.com: 

The typical application form on this website will look like this:

This is the application form. Once you file the application form filling the details, the website will take you to the next step of payment. They are charging INR 449 as is visible in the below screenshot:

2. ThePanCard.com 

Just another fake website claiming to be genuine agents of the authorities. They went a step ahead guaranteeing 100% Secure SSL Protection, as you see in the image below:

The form and their website may look genuine at once. They may even go ahead charging INR 1000 for filing form for issue of a new Pan card or for applying for any correction. Once you make payment and file application, you will not hear anything from them.

These are complete fraud websites. There are other websites also I came across claiming to assist people to get PAN Card. These are:

3. Panind.com They are offering financial and legal services and provides a window to help people file application to get their PAN card issued or corrected. I am not sure if they are real or genuine as I have seen people vouching for it and claiming that they got their PAN card by applying on this website. However, I would suggest that even if they are not fake they are not Government and a mere intermediary. Rather one should avoid it and apply only through Government approved NSDL portal. 

4. Pan.utiitsl Claiming to be a Government subsidiary. I am not sure of its authenticity but surely this is not a real platform. You can read unsatisfactory customer's review on their google play store app or even on the Facebook page.

The only authentic website and approved Government portal for issue of new Pan Card and applying for correction is onlineservices.nsdl.com 

You can also find its mention here at services.india.gov.in . Which is an official Government website. 

Any website other than NSDL is nothing but just a fraud. You can get your PAN card issued or corrected at a nominal fee of INR 101, if physical copy is required. In case you just need a digital copy, there is no fees. 

Spread this article as much as you can to make people beware of these scam website. Spread the true words and save people from such frauds.
